DIL means HEART in Punjabi, Hindi, and Urdu. The DIL Walk Foundation (DWF) is a not for profit organization dedicated to increasing the awareness of heart disease in South Asians using a primary prevention approach. It will focus on providing leadership and expertise in the areas of clinical practice, research and advocacy in respect to cardiovascular disease prevention. It promotes best practices and acts as a resource to the South Asian population, professionals, organizations and general public.
Grey Nuns Hospital 25th Anniversary Celebration - May 5, 2013
MIC radiologists have been providing radiology services to the Grey Nuns hospital since it opened in 1988. MIC was pleased to be able to sponsor the community barbecue in celebration of this significant milestone.
Run for the Cure
Each year a group of MIC Employees dedicated to women’s health organize a team and participate in the Run for the Cure. Breast cancer screening and detection is a significant part of our practice, and staff is proud to participate in this annual one day event to support breast cancer research, education and awareness.
MIC Employee Payroll Contributions
MIC provides employees the opportunity to participate in a charitable giving payroll deduction program to support local charitable organizations. In 2013, employees will contribute more than $17,000 to local charities and programs.
