Topic – PET CT: A new modality in MIC

  • Gain an appreciation of what a PET CT scan is, how images are created and what information it can provide.
  • Discuss clinical indications for outpatient clinic PET CT scans.
  • Recognize some of the advantages/disadvantages of PET CT scans compared to other modalities.
  • Review patient access to various PET CT scans in Alberta.
